PROBLEM SOLVING

Similar posting [vehicle] already submitted: The specific cause or trigger is unknown. It happens more often once more vehicles get posted for a particular dealership. It happens even if the vehicle is completely different, so we believe it is a safety check from CL for dealers not o post too many vehicles at the same time.

Posing has been deleted: This happens when you are submitting the posting for the first time. We believe that CL has some king of volume control and they do not take more postings once this is reached.

Your posing has been flagged/deleted [email from CL]: CL is a community board regulated by community members. The community members can delete your postings if they feel they violate their TOU http://www.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use.html

Your posing has been flagged/deleted violation of terms]: CL is a board/posting community. You can’t post coupons, registration forms, or offers combined with items (call me to a better price).

Postings or transfer of data failing: CL system is not i.e. Autotrader.com. It has a lot less horsepower and a lot less people making sure it works, so it tens to fail quite often responding to our servers request of posting.

SOLUTIONS:

Follow the rules and the TOU. Post at the allowed time and number of units.
If system fails, postings are deleted, etc, wait a day or two and resume postings.

FAQ

Does CL allow for a nightly upload like i.e. Autotrader.com?

No, each posting requires a unique verification word to be entered.

Their TOU (terms of use) also specify that the owner of the item must post it therefore not allowing 3^rd parties to do this for the dealers.

What information is transferred into CL from AutoBase?

We transfer all the photos, data, and contact information from the edit site. Furthermore, we added a link to Goggle maps to facilitate the dealer’s location.

We can not transfer application forms, coupons, etc.

Can I change the contact info that goes into the template?

Yes, to change the contact info sent to CL please change the contact at "Edit your dealership contact information" on the edit site.

Can I post in a different location than mine?

CL discourages this and many postings in the wrong location get flagged for deletion.

How can I find my listings after they are posted?

You can click on the search link next to the vehicle on the edit site or you can go to CL, select Seattle as the area, and search for PGI (this will give you all listings).

How can I remove a vehicle?

Vehicles are automatically removed after 7 days or you can use the link that was sent to you for posting the vehicle.
